....... Laureen (Laurie) Marie Schramm, age 57 of Springboro passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at home with her family by her side. She was born on June 22, 1963 to Jack and Barb Schramm. She was a special gift from God. She was a joy and light—a blessing to her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents. She will be deeply missed by her mom; brother John (Deanne) Schramm; sister Ami Beth (Steve) Vogel; nieces Jenna and Michelle Schramm, Keleigh Vogel; nephew Zachary Vogel; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She enjoyed dancing, swimming, bowling, roller-skating, reading Little House on the Prairie books, listening to music, writing letters, making cards, coloring, solving word searches, and spending time with family and friends. She loved being a part of the choir at Incarnation Church.

For years, she assisted in learning activities at Sunny View-Pathways to Learning Childcare Center where she was a teacher’s assistant. She attended many National Down Syndrome Congress Conventions and was a self-advocate member of the Board of Directors in the mid-80’s where she had the privilege of speaking to all the conference attendees.

Her smile, hugs and enthusiasm for life will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
