Robert A. Berkey age 35,
passed away on Friday, October 8,
2021. Robert was born on January 31,
1986, in Dayton, Ohio.
Robert was preceded in death by his
grandparents, Kerry & Elaine
Berkey and Hugh & Margaret
Trimble; and his aunt, Carolyn
Trimble.
Robert is survived by his parents,
Kim and Rebecca Berkey; his brothers,
John Berkey & Seth Harris
(fiancé: Alice Lescheck); his
sister, Jennifer Berkey (fiancé:
Dylan Steely); his nephew, Olyver
Harris; his 8 aunts, 6 uncles, 16
cousins, 37 second cousins, and his
countless friends.
Robert was a Special Olympics athlete
since age 9. In that time, Robert won
numerous medals and awards, was a
mentor to younger athletes, and an
inspiration to everyone he met.
Robert competed in many events
including track & field, bowling,
softball, soccer, basketball,
swimming, roller-skating, bocce, and
powerlifting.
Robert was a devout Christian and
member of Abiding Christ Lutheran
Church, where he was an acolyte.___________________________________________________________________

Robert’s favorite
things to do included watching
movies, playing videogames, working
out, watching wrestling, visiting
parks, dancing until he dropped, and
spending time with his friends &
family. Robert loved to get dressed
up for occasions, would don his suit
at a moment’s notice and had
many costumes. Without a doubt,
Robert’s favorite holiday was
Halloween.
Robert had immeasurable strength that
was only matched by his kindness.
Robert was a gift to the world, whose
impact on those around him will go on
long after his death.

A visitation will be held from 2:00pm
to 5:00pm on Sunday, October 17, 2021
at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104
Needmore Road, Dayton. The family
will also visit with family and
friends from 10:30am to 11:00am on
Monday, October 18, 2021 at Abiding
Christ Lutheran Church, 326 E Dayton
Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn, where
a funeral service will begin at
11:00am.
Abiding Christ Lutheran Church is
